Amending Section 11.35 relative to penalties for failure to remove snow and ice from sidewalks.

Be it Ordained by the Malden City Council that Section 11.35 of the Revised ordinances of 1991 be amended as follows:

-by striking out paragraph C as it currently exists and inserting in place thereof the following new paragraph C:

C. The ordinance may be enforced in the manner provided in Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40 Section 21D by regular enforcement officers and by Department of Public Works storm supervisory personnel in accordance with the following schedule of fines:

1^st offense                        warning

2^nd & subsequent offenses            $50.00

Each 24 period during which a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense punishable by an additional fine.
