Committee Report: Finance (Relative to adopting a resolve to the state legislative delegation regarding Chapter 70 Funding)
The Standing Committee on Finance, having considered the proposed school budget for FY2017, makes the following report: Committee recommends that the following resolve be passed: Resolved: That it is the sense of the City Council that the Malden Legislative Delegation work to encourage the Legislature to review and amend the Chapter 70 education formula to provide an equitable distribution of funds to communities based more directly on actual student need.
