Ordered: That the City create a Long Term Budget & Capital Planning Steering Committee to plan for budgeting and capital expenditures on a five-year basis, to be comprised of nine members as follows: two Mayoral designee, two Council designee, the Superintendent of Schools, the Controller, the Treasurer, and two external subject matter experts; the Committee will solicit input and gather knowledge from the Department of Local Services in the Department of Revenue, the Massachusetts Municipal Association, Bond Counsel, Auditors, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
