Be it ordained by the Malden City Council that the Code of the City of Malden (MCC) 9.24.010 REGULATION OF LEAD PIPES IN RESIDENTIAL HOUSING is hereby amended by:

 

Body

1. Strike ‘Housing’ from title and replace with ‘Properties’;

2. Adding to Subsection B the following text after the words ‘Prior to’: ‘the issuance of a certificate of rental inspection under MCC 9.16.30 and’;

3. Adding to Subsection B the following text after the words ‘lead-free water lines, and’: ‘shall obtain written confirmation from the City Engineer that the property is not serviced by a lead service line or’.
