Ordered: That the “City of Malden” in the Surrounding Community Agreement be defined to include the City Council
body
Ordered: That City of Malden as contained in the Surrounding Community Agreement be defined to include the City Council and that all decisions related to the Everett Casino be approved by a 2/3 vote of the City Council
The Malden City Council finds that, there is a reasonable likelihood that a “Destination Resort Casino” will soon be located and developed within the City of Everett and that the City of Malden will be impacted significantly by this project.
The City Council also finds that it is necessary to plan and prepare for this important development, therefore, be it
ORDERED: The City Council also finds that the “City of Malden” as indicated by the “Surrounding Community Agreement” shall be defined as to include the Malden City Council and that any revenues, monies, jobs programs, policies, impacts and/or any other decisions related to the Everett Casino must be approved by the Malden City Council and that the Mayor of Malden may not execute, sign, negotiate, partake, discuss and/or communicate with, to, and/or about anything related to the Everett Casino in anyway without the vote and approval of 2/3 of the Malden City Council.
