ORDERED: That the Mayor and City Council hereby fix the following dates and hours for the 2017 City preliminary and election for the election of Councillors at Large, Ward Councillors and School Committee members.
June 20 Nomination papers available from the City Clerk’s Office
July 28 5:00PM last day and hour to file certified nomination papers with the City Clerks Office
August 1 5:00PM last day and hour to submit nomination papers to the Registrar of Voter’s Office for certification
August 15 5:00PM last day and hour to file certified nomination papers with the City Clerk’s Office
August 17 5:00PM last day and hour for filing withdrawals from nomination for the preliminary or objections to nomination
August 30 8:00PM close of registration for the preliminary
Sept. 11 5:00PM first campaign finance statement due
Sept. 19 PRELIMINARY
Sept. 25 5:00PM last day and hour to withdraw from nomination at the preliminary or petition for a recount of votes or, if a preliminary is not held, to withdraw from nomination for the final election
Oct. 18 8:00PM close of registration for election
Oct. 30 5:00PM second campaign finance statement due
Nov. 7 ELECTION
Nov. 17 5:00PM last day and hour to petition for recount of votes at election
