Resolve: That the City Council request the state legislative delegation to file legislation requiring full funding of any new state education mandates.

Resolved: That it is the sense of the City Council that the Malden City Council request that its State Representatives and State Senator file legislation that would create a law requiring the State to fully fund any state education mandates, whether by law created by the legislature or regulation promulgated by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, from this point forward and exempting Cities and towns from these mandates anytime these mandates are not fully funded in the annual state budget.
