Be it ordained that Section 200.2 (Zoning Map) Chapter 12 of the Revised Ordinances of 1991 be amended relative to the property known as 11 Hanover Street.

Be it hereby ordained by the Malden City Council that Section 200.2 of Chapter 12 of the Revised Ordinances of 1991, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended as follows:

-by amending the zoning district of the following described parcel of land from Residence A to Industrial 1:

the property known as 11 Hanover Street and also known by City Assessor’s Parcel ID 127 435 505, containing 8,634 square feet and described in the deed recorded at the Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds in Book 14753, page 331.

 

SUMMARY of PROPOSED AMENDMENT:

To change the zoning district of 11 Hanover Street from Residence A to Industrial 1, which zoning district continues to the north, west and east. The property and current use, retail sales & service and a single-family dwelling unit, are preexisting nonconforming. The rezoning will enhance redevelopment options and allow the filing of petition for a special permit or variance to allow conversion/occupancy for a conforming use.
