Dear Councilors:
On December 9, 2015, the Planning Board and City Council Ordinance Committee jointly held a public hearing regarding the above-referenced proposed amendment. As you were previously notified, on November 18, 2015, at the request of the sponsor of the amendment, Councilor Neil Kinnon, the Board and Committee had tabled the public hearing to allow the opportunity for a neighborhood meeting.
As a result of the public hearing, on December 9, 2015, all nine members of the Planning Board voted to recommend approval of the amendment as submitted.
The minutes of the joint public hearing will be made available at your request. For your reference, attached please find the notice of public hearing that was sent to abutters and the Planning Report & Recommendation dated December 9, 2015 that was presented at the hearing.
Finally, please be advised, that, if the City Council fails to act on the amendment within 90 days of the date the public hearing closed, a new duly advertised public hearing must be held. Accordingly, the final date for action is March 8, 2016.
