Mayor's Appointment: Virginia Doherty, 144 Malden St. as a member of the Council on Aging for an open term.

Dear Members of the Council:
Pursuant to the Malden City Council Revised Ordinances of 1991, Section 5.2.3, I hereby appoint Virginia Doherty, 144 Malden Street, Malden, Massachusetts, as a resident member to the Council on Aging, said term to commence upon her confirmation by the City Council, who shall serve until her successor is appointed and qualified.
A Malden resident for 51 years, Virginia has been actively involved in safety and health related activities as a former employee at Hallmark Health and Malden Hospital. She brings a wealth of experience serving as a volunteer for many years at the Senior Center. Virginia is compassionate, works extremely well with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and looks forward to continuing to address the issues being faced by many of the non-English speaking patrons of the Senior Center.
