Be it hereby ordained by the Malden City Council that the revised Ordinances of 1991 as amended be and the same are hereby further amended as follows:
-by adding a new Section 4.42 as follows:
SECTION 4.42 ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDER; MONTHLY REPORT OF EXPENDITURES AND RECEIPTS
At the start of each fiscal year, the Controller shall prepare and submit to the City Council a copy of the adopted budget, detailing anticipated expenditures by month for each department, including all accounts and amounts appropriated thereto. He shall subsequently, on a monthly basis, submit to the Council a monthly financial trend statement comparing actual expenses versus budgeted updated by month and year to date through the stated month including accrued anticipated expenses related through the current month.
The Controller shall, for each fiscal year, provide the City Council with an statement of anticipated revenues and receipts for each month of the fiscal year. He shall subsequently, on a monthly basis, submit to the Council a statement of anticipated and actual revenues for the preceding month.
