Mayor's Appointment: Shu Lain Cho, 47 Madison St. as member of the Council on Aging for an open term

Dear Members of the Council:
Pursuant to the Malden City Council Revised Ordinances of 1991, Section 5.2.3, I hereby appoint Shu Lain Cho, 47 Madison Street, Malden, Massachusetts, as a resident member to the Council on Aging, said term to commence upon her confirmation by the City Council, who shall serve until her successor is appointed and qualified.
Shu, a Malden resident for 28 years recently retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Human Resources after a 30 year career. She recently became a volunteer at the Senior Center upon observing Asian patrons struggling with translation issues. She is a wonderful team player who takes initiative, appreciates the team process, and hopes to pursue solutions to support the growing needs of our growing senior population. I believe she will be a great addition to the Council on Aging.
