Resolve: That it is the sense of the City Council to approve the following amendments, as recommended, for the Home Rule Petition submitted to the Legislature by the City of Malden, now known as Bill H.4793 AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE PREPARATION OF CERTAIN BILINGUAL BALLOTS IN THE CITY OF MALDEN

Ms. Garlick of Needham moves to concur with the Senate in its amendment of House, No. 4793 with a further amendment by inserting after the word “state”, in line 11, the first time that it appears, the following words: “primary and”;

and by inserting after the word “state”, in line 21, the following words: “primary and”;

and by inserting after the words “ballots for”, in line 34, the following words: “federal or”;

and by adding the following section:

                     “SECTION 6. This act shall take effect on January 1, 2023.”.
