Mayor's Appointment: Peter Jani, 122 Franklin St. as a member of the Council on Aging for an open term

Dear Members of the Council:
Pursuant to the Malden City Council Revised Ordinances of 1991, Section 5.2.3, I hereby appoint Peter Jani, 122 Franklin Street, Malden, Massachusetts, as a resident member to the Council on Aging, said term to commence upon his confirmation by the City Council, who shall serve until his successor is appointed and qualified.
Peter, a 30 year Malden resident, was educated in India, acquired a Master's Degree in History and Political Science, and taught both subjects for over 15 years. He is a frequent visitor of the Senior Center and consistently provides feedback and insight with matters related to activities and areas for improved delivery of services. He hopes to continue organizing activities that keep seniors productive members of the community and reduce rates of isolation. I believe Peter will be a productive member to the Council on Aging.
