Dear Members of the Council:

Pursuant to Mass. General Laws Chapter 148, Section 1, I hereby reappoint Emery L. Haskell, 129 Wallace Street, Malden, Massachusetts, as the Fire Commissioner, said term to expire March 1, 2018.

Emery has extensive public safety experience. Notably, he served as the Security Officer for the Newport Naval Education and Training Center and was responsible for the Department of Defense Police, Base Fire Department and Seaman Guard Force. I believe Emery’s knowledge coupled with his legal background makes him the perfect candidate for this position.
