Resolved: That it is the sense of the City Council that the Traffic Commission adopt a regulation allowing the closing of traffic lanes on the major routes east/west and north south in the city between the hours of 8:30 am to 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 am, including Route 60, Eastern Ave, Salem Street, Cross Street, Medford Street, Main Street, Pleasant Street, Highland Ave, Broadway/Route 99, Forest Street, Winter St, Glenwood Street, Summer Street, Mount Vernon St, Mountain Ave. and Commercial Street, and providing further that, outside those hours, lanes be closed for emergency reasons only, not development and/or construction.
