Amending Section 9.36 of R.O. 1991 relative to Abandoned Motor Vehicles

Be it hereby ordained by the Malden City Council that Section 9.36 of the Revised Ordinances of 1991 as amended be and the same is hereby further amended as follows:
-by striking out the second paragraph of Section 9.36A and inserting in place thereof the following:
PRESUMPTION OF ABANDONMENT: Failure to register a vehicle and attach a proper registration plate and current inspection sticker or, if registered, to park on a public or private way for more than 72 continuous hours shall create a presumption that said motor vehicle has been abandoned or its use discontinued by the owner.
