Amending Section 8.40 relative to the City Council Salary Plan.

Be it hereby ordained by the Malden City Council that the Revised Ordinances of 1991 as amended be and the same are hereby further amended as follows:

-by striking out Section 8.40 as it currently exists and inserting in place thereof the following

SECTION 8.40                  CITY COUNCIL SALARY PLAN

CITY COUNCILLOR                  $21,500.00

For purposes of this section, compensation shall include the cost incurred by the city for any benefits paid to a member of the Council, and monetary payments shall be reduced by the amount of said cost.

This section shall take effect on Jan. 1, 2016.
