Be it ordained that the Malden City Council shall discuss changes in Executive Session postings.

Be it ordained that the Malden City Council shall only enter into Executive Session after a legal opinion by the City Solicitor has been provided, in writing, to the full Council. Said opinion will specifically cite particular provisions of the law as promulgated either by Massachusetts General Laws, Secretary of State Regulations, or Attorney General Rulings, as to why the Executive Session is necessary.
Said opinion shall be submitted at least 48 hours in advance of any meeting where an Executive Session could occur and must also be posted according to Massachusetts Open Meeting Laws.
Said ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.
