Order: That the City Council review and update the current Sign Ordinances.
Body
The following amendments were made to the Sign Control Ordinance:
(1) .5 Signs not requiring a Permit, Subsection .9 was amended by striking “and” after the word “illuminated” in the first sentence. Further amended to add at the end of the paragraph: “side, and no sign shall have more than two sides, except one personal expression sign may be a maximum of six (6) sq. ft. in area per side, provided such sign is displayed no more than 60 days per year.”
(2) .6 Prohibited Signs, subsection .5 was amended to add after considered “personal expression signs”.
(3) .7.3 Sign Illumination, subsection .1 was amended by striking “or neon tubing”
(4) Several minor technical changes to language to improve clarity of the ordinance. These changes were minor, the nature and intent of the ordinance was not substantially modified.
