Be it hereby Ordained that Section 2.1 of Chapter 2 of the R.O. of 1991 by amended relative to Election and Appointment of Officers.

Be it hereby Ordained that Section 2.1 of Chapter 2 of the R.O. of 1991 by amended relative to Election and Appointment of Officers by striking the period at the end of the sentence and inserting that following:
“, provided, however that no currently or formerly serving member of an elected public body, and no currently or formerly elected public officer, shall be nominated and elected, or appointed to any appointed office which is nominated and elected, or appointed by the elected public body or elected public officer, as defined in Section 2.4, in which the said member or officer currently or formerly served, until after a period of one year has passed from the date which the said member or officer has been removed from or vacated the elected public body or elected public office. For the purposes of this section elected public bodies and officers shall refer to the City Council, the Mayor, and the School Committee.”
