Order:  That Section 9.16(D) of Chapter 9 of the R.O. of 1991 be amended relative to Dog Licenses.

Body

Ordered: That section 9.16(D) of Chapter 9 of the R.O. of 1991 be amended by striking the paragraph:

D. No fee shall be charged for a license for a dog specially trained to lead or serve a blind person; provided that the state Commission for the Blind certifies that such dog is so trained and actually in service of a blind person.

And inserting: “D. No fee shall be charged for a license issued under this section for a service dog as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act or regulations promulgated thereunder. No fee shall be charged for a license for a dog owned by a person aged 70 years or older.”
