                     Mission Statement:  The MPL is to provide open access to information and to promote love of reading and lifelong learning to Malden residents and all citizens of Massachusetts.  Founded in 1879, the MPL is a non-profit corporation with partial city support, governed by a board of trustees.

                     NO structural damage from the January 4th snow/rain storm incurred!

                     MPL will continue to advocate for a strong financial support from the City and develop additional financial resources to meet and support community needs. 

                     MPL is part of the Gateway Cities Initiative with a mission to better collaborate and coordinate libraries with technology.

                     ABCD Mobil Van and MPL have begun discussions offering a better range of services for all of our community.

                     TRIPLE THREAT TRIVIA will have 20+ teams this year and will be held at Anthony’s on January 25th.  This is their 20th Anniversary! 

                     MPL and The Historical Society will open a Japanese Art Exhibit on January 23rd

                     A Local Artist Rotating Gallery will begin in February showcasing art in the Hall of the Library.

                     MALDEN READS kick off will be at the High School 6-8pm February 15th.

                     Discussion of a Citywide 200th Elisha Converse birthday celebration.
