The Council hereby supports the US EPA proposed interim determinations: (1) classifying all SGARs as restricted use pesticides so as to ban their retail sales directly to consumers and limiting their use to only licensed pest control professionals, and (2) adding more restrictive handling and use protocols for professionals to follow. Furthermore the Council supports proposed State Legislation that will require electronic tracking of SGAR use and expands the list of institutions required to use Integrated Pest Management practices to include universities.
